Sc_7 Comp



For my 7th scene in my film, the idea was to use the frame within a frame compositional trait, the frame within a frame composition choice is usually used to differentiate between the two shots usually the current scene and the next scene, below is an image from Mrs. Robinson where the trait is used quite uniquely, my idea was to have the frame within a frame have the bridge separate the previous scene of the forrest with the next scene being the city in the distance through the arch in the bridge setting up the next scene and having some consistency to the film. 

I also added texture and lighting to the bridge to try and match the previous bridge shot, also having the moon positioned to the right hand top corner.

Sc_6 Comp


For my sixth scene i wanted the main focus of the shot to be the bridge in the centre of the image, i added a satin to the city in the background but also added a glow to the windows so the lights show the silhouette of the city, i added a concrete texture to the bridge to give it more realistic look and also added a spotlight in the top right hand corner of the image to portray the moonlight bouncing off the bridge.

Sc_5 Comp


My 5th scene of my film was split into two sequences, A forrest sequence and a mountain sequence, i wanted to try and create a seamless transition between the sequences, i came up with the idea of having a leaf blow across the screen and as the leaf had fully filled the screen the next sequence would come into shot after the leaf had left the shot. 
Below is a screenshot from an episode of Stranger Things where i got the idea for the transition. the tv series are known for their quick and seamless transitions from one scene to another, below is a scene where the towel is blowing in the wind and as the towel covers the screen it then cuts to the next scene. 

For the Compin part of my scene i added some fog to add more depth to the two scenes and also added some textures and tones to each sequence to try and make them pop out, in the forrest scene i added some light beams coming through the mountains to show the light source.

Sc_4 Comp


For my fourth scene in my film i wanted to add a lot of depth to the scene and make it feel like the stop sign was close and the mountains were really far off in the background, to achieve this depth of field i added a  gassian blur to both the stop sign and the mountains and had the entrance to the forrest in focus as thats where the balloon would enter the forrest. i also added an intensified glow to the lamp to make it stand out and also had a fog to the scene which i created using a fractal noise layer. For the balloon i also added a drop shadow on the pavment which followed the balloon through the scene.

Sc_3 Comp


My Scene 3 Comp is a zoomed in shot of the bar door for when the balloon floats out of the bar, i added a few extra tones for the zoomed in shot, i also added some darker tones to the forrest on the right as you will notice the trees a lot more when the camera is positioned closer.

Sc_2 Comp


Below is Scene 2 of my film.
The top image is my orginal photoshop file of my bar and below is my comped scene. i added some extra tones and textures to make the bar a bit darker and really feel like a bar, in my edited film itself, the table will be in focus with everything out of focus behind it then as the camera pans in the tables goes out of focus and the rest of the scene comes into focus applying depth of field to the shot.

Sc_1 Comp


I startred my composition on my film on April 2nd, below is the priginal image and then below that is my image after i had comped the scene.
I added a satin to the buildings in the foreground and a glow to the pub to really make the Pub stand out, I also added a strobe effect to the lamp post so it would flicker and i animated the clouds so they blow across the screen.
