Logo Design
For our Professional Practice module we have to design a logo for ourselves, These are a few quick designs I tested out.

Peter Mcverry conclusion
For our Professional Practice project we were assigned to make a project for the Peter Mcverry foundation highlighting the problem with Irish homelessness.
I was put in a group with Jonah Anderson and Dave Cooney as our director. Dave's original idea was a hand holding a cup seemingly begging for money and then that cup would transform into a mug of tea to show Peter Mcverry's help in housing homeless people.
At the beginning of the project we all tried out different stylistic art styles of Dave's original animatic and then we put our ideas together and chose an idea. Eventually, after meeting with a Peter Mcverry representative we decided to stick to the simplistic clean looking style of hands Dave had originally designed but we just added detail to the hands with finger nails and wrinkles.
In Daves original animatic the backgrounds were just textured colour so we decided to add a background to it. Our tutor Kevin gave us the idea of having real shot background behind the animation to give more feel to the surroundings of the hands. My job was to shoot the real life backgrounds shots, I decided to shoot a bokeh style city shot with blurred out lights to give the feel of a busy city and then for when the part when the tea starts to pout into the mug we decided to have the busy street lights blur into a warm shot of a house which i shot in my kitchen at home.
I am really happy with how the project worked out, I feel all three of us worked well as a team and produced a piece of work that the Peter Mcverry Foundation will be happy with. It was a great experience to get to work on a piece of work for a client with a deadline, i think it gave us a sense of reality as to the animation business and what way it works.

Thesis Hand in
I took in account all of the feedback i got off my tutor Tracey Staunton over the past month and got a lot more references and more books to get more information into the subject i have been writing about.
With the hand in date tomorrow i feel i covered all area's my tutor has suggested and have added a lot more references and made sure all my Harvard referencing was done correctly.
I enjoyed writing this extended essay i feel i learned a lot of stuff to add towards my final film to ensure my composition is correct.
